I recently made a beautiful fuschia polish that was inspired by a lipstick. I called the polish Show me, partially because of how flashy I felt it was. The lipstick, or rather lip stain, that inspired this gorgeous polish is from the Sephora Collection. I usually steer away from buying their brand, mostly beacause I foolishly believe that somehow paying more for makeup means it’s instantly better. Well boy was I wrong.
I was inspired on this trip to look for something that had the pop of OCC’s lip tar in Anime. I didn’t just buy that color straight out because bright colors don’t always look good on my caramel skin and I wanted to make sure it would be an acceptable juxtaposition first. So in searching for a suitable match I first stumbled upon Kat Von D’s everlasting love liquid lipstick in Bambi. The color was BRIGHT, too bright for my skin tone-though it would assuredly be very sexy on someone much lighter or darker than me. I did like the vibrancy, but it also seemed a bit drying in the few short moments I wore it. Then I encountered Sephora’s cream lip stains. I tried a red first- Always Red. Omg, I fell in love! But alas I chose not to buy it because it was too similar to the Nars Dragon Lady Lip pencil I already own and love. So I tried Forever Fuschia. A pretty pink, that is less bright than both Anime and Bambi but still a great pop of color. Well I’ve fallen in love I must say! The color on these cream stains are quite vibrant, and better than that they are long lasting! I was able to wear it for hours without fading.
So long story short I know am a believer in the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains and am itching to buy more. Who woulda thunk it?
Ps. I’ll try to get a pic of me with it on and add it in at a later date.

The Ever Daunting First Post
Hello all! Welcome to Borough Babe and Baby's blog. I always find the first post the hardest to write. I suppose because there's this unspoken pressure to make it into a sort of mission statement for your blog. But alas I'd like not to do that and so I shall just begin without saying anything except "yay, first post!"
